Your First Year

  1. Continue to meet with your supervisor to obtain answers to questions regarding your division and position responsibilities.

  2. Find out how you can collaborate effectively with your team to support division goals.

  3. Plan to attend the Performance Management Training provided by Human Resources within the first year, prior to your 6-month probationary review.

  4. Meet with your supervisor to discuss your probationary review. Discuss goals and a career development plan for the upcoming year.  Note: If you have prior State service you may not need to complete a probationary review.

  5. Learn about the programs and initiatives that are aligned with the goals of the agency and how you may contribute by attending virtual Town Hall meetings, the Agency meeting etc.

  6. Collaborate with the DMAS team by getting involved in community service or employee engagement opportunities at DMAS.
